Gardening Services
I garden to create beautiful and thriving landscapes and planting beds. I love to help people understand their own garden's potential and how to nurture all of its plants. I welcome collaborative work!
I am a certified UC Master Gardener and have conducted monthly Plant Clinics.
Professional Services
• Garden Coaching and Consultation ($50 / hour with $100 minimum): We walk through your gardens evaluating and discussing general garden health, problem areas, plant identification and care, and design ideas.
• Garden Renovation ($35 / hour): I find it very rewarding to restore a sad and overgrown garden. What I do:
- walk the property and develop a plan with you
- address problems that keep plants from thriving
- remove, replace, and relocate plants to restore beauty and balance
- prune and trim overgrown desirable plants
- weed, compost, and mulch to finish the renovation
* note: you will need to secure general landscaping labor for heavy work, hardscapes, and lawn (I can provide oversight and instruction)
• Collaborative Gardening ($35 / hour): We work together to
- develop plant lists, plans, and procedures for new garden projects
- perform garden tasks and projects; I can help you learn the specific skills and plant knowledge needed -- or, we simply share the work
About me: I'm a certified Master Gardener, ran the Plant Clinic in the San Mateo Arboretum, and helped author the monthly Pacifica and Half Moon Bay Review's garden column. I've been a gardener all my life, up and down the West Coast, in New Zealand, and, professionally, in coastal California for the last six years. I've now made my home in beautiful Eureka.
